Team matches Update for week ending 28th June

A busy week for the Craibstone Pennant team. On Tuesday night a great performance at home against a strong Bon Accord team seen Craibstone win by 3 games to 2.
This was the last match in the Aberdeen Pennant league and with three wins and a close 3-2 defeat leaving them on 9 points it all came down to Nigg Bay on thursday and their match at home to Deeside. It was heartbreak again for the Craibstone squad as Nigg Bay won their match 4-1 meaning that the best second place finish out of the three leagues was cruelly taken away again on "goal difference". Two years in a row our squad has performed so well and missed out on a semi final spot in the cruellest of fashions.
Hugh congratulations to the squad for the time and effort that they have put into the league. Golf can be a game of small margins and two years in a row our team has performed magnificiently and not seen the rewards that they deserve.
On Thursday night the team played Kemnay here at Craibstone in the Gordon & District Pennant League and ended up drawing the match with 2 wins a piece.
