Last Saturday seen the conclusion of our season long order of merit. Ten events where you had to be the most consistent of finishing in the top ten to pick up points along the way.
Congratulations to Andrew Ashley who has achieved the Craibstone Grand Slam by securing the Order of Merit, this goes along with his success in the Scratch Cup and the Club Championship. A treble success for Andrew.
Gross Final Table
59 points - Andrew Ashley
56 points - Ian Still
50 points - Shaun Rennie
The Nett Order of Merit, this one was open to so many on the final day of play and although some made good movement we ended up with 19 points as the winning total. 3 players achieved this total and after looking at different ways of separating the three tied there was no fair way to do this. Last result to count more than best result, most highest finishes, most medals with points collected, biggest shoe size. Even club systems couldn't offer a tie break scenario that is fair and easy to calculate. So in the end, the Nett order of Merit will be shared by Alan Bloice, Ian Still and Robert Goldie. All three ended up on 19points with George Breen just missing out by finishing with 18points.

Congratulations to all the winners and this is something that has added some extra excitement as the season has progressed and will be definitely run next year also.
