Belhaven Captain and Secretaries Grand Final 2018

Today at Crieff, myself and Stuart Milne travelled to Crieff Golf Club to compete in the Grand Final alongside another 39 pairs in the annual Belhaven Captain and Secretaries Competition.
We had a tough start, beginning on hole 5, a par 5, then we had another par 5, then stroke index 1, then another long par 4. But we held in there and after 9 holes we were 2 under in the net better ball format. On our back 9 we started to find a bit more form and had a few birdie opportunities, but we only managed to secure 3 nett birdies to finish the day on 5 under.
With a strong back 9, we ended up in 5th place overall, with Edinburgh Drapers Golf Club pipping us to 4th with a better back 9 also finishing on 5 under. 2nd and 3rd on 6 under were Auchterarder and Loghgelly Golf Clubs, with Linn Park the runaway winners on 11 under.
We were well looked after on the day by Scottish Golf, Belhaven Best and Crieff Golf Club.
